Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 2 cups cooked rice, preferably cold
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots), chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Directions
- In a large pan or wok, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Add the sliced beef to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Flip the beef slices and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Add the mixed vegetables to the pan. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Push the beef and vegetables to one side of the pan. Add the cold rice to the empty side of the pan. Break up any clumps of rice and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the beef, vegetables, and rice. Stir everything together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Serve the beef stir-fry with fried rice hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
