Mexican White Trash recipe

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, pretzels, marshmallows, and peanuts. Mix them together evenly and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter together. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the dry cereal, pretzel, and nut mixture. Gently stir until everything is well coated with the chocolate mixture.
  5. Place the mixture into a large resealable plastic bag or a large paper bag.
  6. Add 1-2 cups of powdered sugar into the bag with the mixture. Seal the bag and shake it vigorously to coat the mixture with the powdered sugar. You can add more or less powdered sugar depending on your desired level of sweetness.
  7. Spread the coated mixture onto a baking sheet to cool and set. Allow it to cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
  8. Once the mixture has set and cooled, you can serve it in a bowl or store it in an airtight container.

Mexican White Trash is a versatile snack mix, and you can customize it by adding other ingredients like M&M’s, various types of nuts, or other types of cereal. Enjoy this sweet and salty treat at your next gathering!
