Rotel Tacos

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Dice the onion, mince the garlic, and gather all your ingredients and toppings. Shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and have the cheese and other toppings ready.
  2. Cooking the Meat:
    • Heat a skillet or pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook it, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it browns.
    • Once the meat is mostly browned, add the diced onion to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
    • Add the minced garlic to the beef and onion mixture. Stir and cook for another minute until fragrant.
    • Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the meat mixture. Stir well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
  3. Adding Rotel Tomatoes:
    • Pour the can of Rotel Original Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies into the skillet with the seasoned beef mixture. Stir to combine.
    • Let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the excess liquid to reduce. Stir occasionally.
  4. Warming Tortillas:
    • While the meat mixture simmers, warm your tortillas. You can do this by wrapping them in foil and placing them in the oven for a few minutes or by heating them in a skillet on the stove.
  5. Assembling Tacos:
    • Once the meat mixture is ready and the tortillas are warm, it’s time to assemble your tacos.
    • Spoon a generous portion of the Rotel beef mixture onto each tortilla.
    • Top the meat with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa or hot sauce, and any other desired toppings.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the assembled tacos for added freshness and flavor.
    • Serve the Rotel tacos immediately while they’re warm and enjoy the flavorful combination of zesty Rotel tomatoes with seasoned beef and toppings.

This recipe yields flavorful Rotel tacos that are perfect for a family dinner or a gathering with friends. Feel free to customize the toppings to suit your taste preferences, and don’t be shy about adding extra spice or heat if you like your tacos fiery!
