Better Than Texas Roadhouse Rolls

Instructions:

Rolls:

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, stirring with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until it has doubled in size.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently and divide it into 16 equal-sized pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish, leaving a little space between each roll.
  7. Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise again for 30-45 minutes until they puff up.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 15-18 minutes or until they turn golden brown on top.
