Instructions:
- Preheat the Mini Waffle Maker:
- Plug in your mini waffle maker and let it heat up according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Prepare the Pancake/Waffle Mix:
- In a mixing bowl, measure out the desired amount of pancake/waffle mix. Since this mix is the best, use about 2 cups for a small batch or adjust according to your needs.
- Add Water:
- Follow the instructions on the pancake mix packaging. Typically, you just need to add water. Gradually mix in water and whisk until you achieve a smooth batter. The consistency should be thick but pourable.
- Cook the Mini Waffles:
- Lightly coat the heated waffle maker with cooking spray or brush with melted butter to prevent sticking.
- Pour the batter onto the waffle maker, covering the surface but leaving a little space for expansion.
- Close the lid and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool and Package:
- Allow the mini waffles to cool completely on a wire rack. This prevents them from becoming soggy when stored.
- Once cooled, stack the mini waffles and place them in Ziploc bags, separating layers with parchment paper if needed.
- Freeze for Later:
- Label the Ziploc bags with the date for easy tracking.
- Place the bags in the freezer. The mini waffles can be stored for up to 2-3 months.
- To Reheat:
- When ready to enjoy, simply take out the desired number of mini waffles from the freezer.
- Microwave for about 30 seconds or until heated through. Optionally, toast them in a toaster for a crispier texture.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve your mini waffles with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
Note: Feel free to experiment with additional mix-ins like chocolate chips, blueberries, or chopped nuts for added flavor and texture.
