Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Wrappers for a creative twist (like tortillas or lettuce leaves)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Potatoes:
    • Peel and grate the russet potatoes. You can use a box grater or a food processor for this step.
    • Place the grated potatoes in a bowl and cover them with cold water. Let them soak for a few minutes.
  2. Parboil Potatoes:
    • Transfer the grated potatoes to a pot and cover them with water.
    • Bring the water to a boil and let the potatoes cook for about 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender. Be careful not to overcook.
