Instructions:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of your air fryer basket.
- Place 3 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, breaking them if necessary to fit.
- Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a third of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, starting with the meat sauce, then noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Finish with a layer of noodles and the remaining meat sauce on top.
- Cover the air fryer basket with foil, leaving a little space for air to circulate.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the lasagna in the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes.
- Carefully remove the foil from the lasagna and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the lasagna from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
- Serve the air fryer lasagna hot, and enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make meal!
