For the Pizza Toppings:
- 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pizza Dough:
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, until frothy.
- Stir in flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
2. Roast the Garlic:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and golden. Let it cool, then squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins.
