Simple BBQ Ribs

Recipe Details:

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat your grill to 275°F (135°C) using indirect heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the dry rub.
  3. Rub the dry rub generously over both sides of the ribs.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down, and cook for 2-3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  5. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, baste the ribs with BBQ sauce.
  6. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  • Grill
  • Mixing bowls
  • Tongs
  • Basting brush
  • Knife

Storing Leftovers:

If you happen to have any leftovers (though we doubt you will!), simply wrap them tightly in aluminum foil or place them in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage. To reheat, simply place the ribs in a 300°F (150°C) oven until warmed through.

Food & Drink Pairings:

These Simple BBQ Ribs pair perfectly with classic BBQ sides such as coleslaw, cornbread, and baked beans. For drinks, opt for a refreshing iced tea or your favorite beer to complement the smoky flavors of the ribs.
