Recipe Directions
Step 1: Prepare the Pizza Roll Ups
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and separate into triangles along the perforated lines.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce onto each triangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Add grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Sprinkle dried oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) over the cheese.
Step 2: Roll and Cut the Roll Ups
- Starting from the wider end of each triangle, roll it up towards the pointed end, enclosing the cheese and sauce inside.
- Once rolled, pinch the edges slightly to seal.
- Using a knife or pizza cutter, slice each rolled triangle into 2 or 3 smaller pieces, depending on your preferred size.
Step 3: Air Fry the Pizza Roll Ups
- Lightly brush or spray the air fryer basket with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Arrange the Pizza Roll Ups in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6-8 minutes, or until the roll ups are golden brown and crispy.
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy!
- Remove the Pizza Roll Ups from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
Tips and Tricks
- Variations: Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings such as pepperoni, bell peppers, or mushrooms before rolling up the dough.
- Sealing the Edges: Ensure the edges of the crescent roll dough are sealed tightly to prevent the filling from leaking during cooking.
- Air Fryer Timing: Cooking time may vary depending on the brand and model of your air fryer. Adjust accordingly to achieve desired crispiness.
