BBQ Chicken with Barbecue Sauce

Prepare the Chicken:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium-high heat.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Season the Chicken:

Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning into the chicken to ensure it’s well coated.
Cook the Chicken:

If using the oven, place the chicken skin-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
If using the grill, place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Add the Barbecue Sauce:

During the last 10 minutes of cooking, brush a generous amount of barbecue sauce over the chicken, reserving some for serving. Return to the oven or grill to allow the sauce to caramelize.
Serve:

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven or grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
Serve the BBQ chicken with additional barbecue sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
