For the cake:

• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 7 egg yolks
• 3/4 cup of water
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
For the whipped egg whites:
• 7 egg whites
• 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1/2 cup of sugar.
