- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Optional: 1/2 cup finely diced bell pepper or shredded carrot for added moisture and flavor
Glaze (Optional but recommended):
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon mustard (yellow or Dijon)
