Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 4-5 tablespoons ice water

For the custard filling:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Ground nutmeg for sprinkling
