Preparing the Wraps:
- Mixing the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Add the vegetable oil and gradually pour in the warm water while stirring.
- Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
- Dividing and Rolling the Dough:
- After the dough has rested, divide it into smaller portions, about the size of golf balls.
- On a floured surface, roll each portion into thin rounds, approximately 6-8 inches in diameter.
- Cooking the Wraps:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Place a rolled-out dough round onto the skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned spots appear.
- Remove the cooked wraps and place them on a plate covered with a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm and pliable.
