Instructions:
1. Creating the Starter:
Begin by making the starter, a crucial step for enhancing the flavor and texture of your mold bread.
a. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, lukewarm water, and active dry yeast.
b. Mix well until you achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency.
c. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it becomes bubbly and has doubled in size.
2. Preparing the Dough:
Now that your starter is alive with yeast activity, it’s time to move on to the main dough.
a. In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour and salt.
b. In a separate container, dissolve the sugar in lukewarm water.
c. Pour the sugar-water mixture into the starter, followed by the olive oil. Mix thoroughly.
d. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until a dough forms.
e. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10-15 minutes or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
