- Prepare the Steak:
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust cooking time based on your desired doneness). Add minced garlic during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
- Make the Shrimp & Lobster Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallots and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked shrimp and lobster meat, along with lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to combine and heat through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Serve:
- Slice the rested steaks and place them on serving plates. Spoon the shrimp and lobster sauce generously over the steak. Garnish with fresh parsley and additional herbs if desired.
