Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust cooking time based on your desired doneness). Add minced garlic during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
Make the Shrimp & Lobster Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallots and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
Add the cooked shrimp and lobster meat, along with lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to combine and heat through, about 3-4 minutes.
Serve:
Slice the rested steaks and place them on serving plates. Spoon the shrimp and lobster sauce generously over the steak. Garnish with fresh parsley and additional herbs if desired.
