How to Make Cucumber, Onion, and Tomato Salad

Step 1: Prepare the Vegetables

  1. Wash and dry the cucumbers, tomatoes, and onion. Thinly slice the cucumbers and onion. If using cherry or grape tomatoes, slice them in half. For large tomatoes, dice them into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2: Make the Dressing

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, sugar (if using), salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder. Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning as needed.

Step 3: Combine the Salad

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onion. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss to coat everything evenly.
  2. If desired, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top for added color and flavor.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  1. For best results, let the salad sit in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
